Irrational responses to the contrary, the reason to become involved at flickr.com have a lot to do with having a broad range of people discussing *photography* vs having a bunch of people discussing sheep and moaning about whether Pentax will ever fit an antiquated mechanical lens-body coupling to a modern camera. Flickr's page layout and workflow are a bit tweaky and take some time to learn. Once learned, I find they work surprisingly well, the conceptual model is clean. At least there are no advertisements and an unlimited upload, unlimited use pro account only costs $25/year. (BTW, If you want to try something that makes browsing bunches of pictures a joy, download and install PicLens from http://www.piclens.com into Firefox and then go open a big photostream in flickr.com. I the way it works!) I submit and participate on three/four critique forums at flickr.com now. The commentary and ideas are amongst the best I've seen in an on- line critique forum.
