Let me preface this by saying that I started out with the ZX-5N and moved to the istDS. I became quite familiar with the whirl of the Pentax AF motor. Of course, I could always focus manually to avoid that issue.
However, this week I received the K200D paired with the DA* 50-135. I was deafened by the silence of this combination. =) Just to convince myself that nothing was wrong, I put the DA* on the istDS. The sound of the AF motor assured me that all was right with the world again. Just really pleased by the quiet of SDM technology. Just had to share.
