For daylight shooting, I fully agree. For low light, there's a whole new 
world to be shot, mostly out of realm of film photography (whichever the 
frame size).

Be prepared to buy new FF digital wide-agle lenses then, as I'm not sure 
you'll accept the edge performance of many analog lenses.
