I don't have a problem with politically charged photography, on the list or elsewhere. However, I fear that on the list it would end up in the nasty flame wars that caused it (and religion) to originally be banished from the PDML. I'd really hate to go down that road again. The list has been remarkably placid the last year or two, and I like it that way.
