Actually I might have made an error with this. I picked up a battery for the Spotmatic a year or so ago at a local camera shop and I assumed it was the Varta. But, thinking back, it was probably the Energizer. The Varta came in a Spotmatic I bought recently and it's probably a mercury battery.
