My guess is that your mailer recognises the fact that you have a URL in the body of you message, and is trying to send this as a clickable link by formatting your message as HTML, rather than as plain text. This cause the mailing list software to reject the message. You can test this hypothesis by sending me an email with a URL in it; I'll be able to look at the headers and see what is going on.
