Then Gibson has devoted a bit more concern to the brand that they showed previously. I haven't looked at an Epiphone since the late 90s when the Sheraton model got a brief revival as a "Beatles" guitar. I already have too many guitars (17). I don't have time to play them all the way they deserve to be played. I didn't start out to be a guitar collector, and I'm trying not to be one. There were just times when I wandered into the music store & something caught my eye. It felt good when I took it down and it followed me home. I tend toward older used guitars and have some quite nice ones (in my own opinion). But a guitar doesn't do so well if it just sits in the case and isn't regularly played, and if you have too many, that's what they do ... so, anyway, I'm doing my best to stay out of music stores and not look at (or pick up) any MORE guitars. ====================================== From: "Bob W" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > The Beatles used to use Epiphones didn't they? Along with Gibson, Gretsch, Hofner, Rickenbacker, ... and I do believe a Fender or two. I was a typical American teenager when Beatlemania burst on the scene, and that's what inspired me to learn to play guitar. It had less to do with music, though, than with all of the long haired, screaming teenage girls, which for some reason I found very appealing at that age. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
