I still watch a little Nascar, but not as much as when the older guys were still driving (Elliot, Earnhardt etc). I can't get interested in the newer drivers, many of whom never worked their way up as the older guys did - wrenching on their own cars etc.
Its all about the money, sadly, like many professional sports today.

The last Nascar race I attended was Phoenix a few years back & even tho I had Pit passes, I'll never do it again. It took almost 4 hours to get out of the track !

Excellent work, Cory. A lot of nice shots here.
I can't stand to watch televised NASCAR either, although I do enjoy it in person. Particularly if I have a rooting interest, as I did when I worked on Dodge advertising. I enjoy road racing. I spent a lot of time watching Jaguar GTP cars up at Lime Rock and found that to be a good show. But as a spectator sport, 300-mph, nitro-belching, engine- screaming, tire-smoking drag racing is still my favorite motorsport, but I'm prejudiced. And I'm more into the car than the driver.

And I fully agree with the sentiment of that t-shirt. NASCAR is
televised here, and it's as boring as bat shit.
