Very nice, Jack. The covered bridge is an interesting design. I suppose they must have been constructed in other places but they seem (to me, anyway) to be a real American icon. I often wonder why they were covered. Was it just for shelter or was there some other reason? Covering doesn't seem to be a structural requirement.
