You are incorrect.
The DOF depends on the following factors:
Lens focal length (f)
Lens focal ratio (f-number, N)
Subject distance (s)
Allowable circle of confusion (c)
Actually, it depends purely on the magnification ratio and alowable COC.
Focal length doesn't matter, nor does subject distance.
Don't try to correct John on this, he's forgotten more than most people know
on the subject.
