They had parked a few yards from an Iraqi Army checkpoint. A tip was called in to the Iraqi Army officer (not Police, my mistake). Iraqi and American soldiers blocked traffic & and pulled the driver away from the car. They suspect that the bomb was detonated remotely, because it went off just after it was
obvious that the bomb had been discovered.
