Hi Jerome,

Welcome to the list. Not sharp pictures are fairly easy, I've gotten to
where I can do them just about every time.

First, you need to drink more (or more potent) coffee and studiously
practice bad technique (any of the following may help):
shoot from too far away;
jab at the shutter release button, don't press it smoothly;
make sure you are just starting to inhale or exhale as you jab at it;
startle your subject as you jab (shouting something martial arts-ish or
"Smile, damnit!" is good for this);
hold the camera one-handed if using an autofocus;
if you use manual focus, hold your eye away from the finder (seeing only a
postage stamp-sized area at half-arms length is probably about right);
sway;
slide the diopter correction on the finder as far as it will go in the
wrong direction:
keep your feet close together, stand on tiptoe, and keep your knees
together and slightly bent;
try for longer exposures;
and stay away from films that enhance reds.

Also, be sure and visit http://www.jbuhler.com/HLimited/index.html .
