Hi Ann Some time ago I was looking for an Optio that I could cart around when I didn't want to lug the SLR.
I eventually settled on a second hand Optio 550. It won't do what you want (but as others have said, no Optio will). Having said that, I'm happy with it - unlike many other point-and shoots, it at least allows a modicum of user control (aperture priority, shutter priority and manual as well as Program). It's only 5 megapixel but I was only looking for something in the 5-6 MP range because I was concerned about unacceptable noise at higher resolution with the small sensors these things use. It has a max ISO of 400. The best you'll get out of a 5MP camera at 300 dpi is about 8.5 in x 6.5 in but it can be pushed to 11 x 8 acceptably. I paid about $A75 on Ebay. (It's also a nice looking camera :-)> ) Cheers Brian ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Brian Walters Western Sydney Australia http://members.westnet.com.au/brianwal/SL/ On Sat, 13 Dec 2008 11:36:50 -0500, "ann sanfedele" <[email protected]> said: > I got a little bit of money for my birthday....
