This might be true - I'm not sure, not knowing enough about lenses, myself. I have just read the explanation again (although on the Lens Gallery mirror site, <http://phred.org/pentax/lensgal/k50_12/wo1.html>, since I couldn't seem to access Valentin's site right now), and I still am not sure. In any event, if any lens with a rear element larger in diameter than 24mm is a piece of junk, then I'm gonna have to start throwing out a bunch of lenses...
