Channel ferry Seafrance Manet, lately withdrawn from active duty between
Calais and Dover, hasn't yet been officially decommissioned by Seafrance
but it has been laid up in Dunkirk for a while and is obviously waiting
for a buyer.

major repair and repainting work done and will by now have returned to
Calais for a few more years on the same relation.

We've just had two weeks of dry and sunny winter weather with a strong
high-pressure system over most of Western Europe which ended with a
temperature inversion and very bad air quality. So, what you're seeing
in the background isn't fog or mist but solid smog in the valley of the
river Meuse at Liège.
