Well, i did it and I can't blame anyone else. I dropped my DS and it came down on the lens shade for my 20-35 lens. It didn't shatter but it did knock a piece out of the mount circle. I have the piece. Has anyone had success gluing these plastic shades and are there any glue recommendations? BTW, lens is fine......phew
I glued together a broken lens hood for my DA 18-55. It didn't snap into place very well anymore, but was reasonably functional with some tape to hold it in place. I ended up buying a used (but intact) replacement on eBay. Try some Super Glue, Zap-A-Gap or plastic model cement and see how it works for you.
