I almost never go out shooting with more than two lenses. Maybe three, but I so rarely use more than one or two in a single session it isn't worth carrying them. All the other stay in the cabinet at home.

If I'm on a car trip, I have a big Pelican rollaway fitted with dividers that I can stash a dozen lenses in and other equipment. I've used it, uh, twice in five years.

On an air trip, I carry as little as possible. No more than four lenses, tops. Ever.
