taking all your lenses with you is like trying to wear all your shoes at the
same time.

You'll do your back in and you won't take any pictures if you carry all your
stuff around with you. Most of us have quite a few lenses - it's a natural
by-product of joining this list - but eventually we learn to leave most of
them at home most of the time. What you take with you depends on what you're
expecting to photograph, and this in turn is likely to dictate which bag you
use. You will eventually buy every bag that's available, but probably settle
on one or 2 that you use regularly with a small number of regular lenses.

If you're going backpacking in the Southern Andes for 3 months in winter to
take photographs of dinosaurs you will probably need a different bag to the
one you take for a summer afternoon's stroll along Rotten Row, and a
different set of lenses (although there's little shortage of ancient and
crusty beasts on Rotten Row).
