The Pro outdoor photogs I'm familar with all do their own post capture processing to get what they saw in the field.

I can imagine pros in other fields might have others do their post capture processing.

Hello
Sometimes I want the film-days back. Imagine how easy it is to shoot some
film and have a good lab develop the prints. The lab will darken the too
bright images, correct colors and brighten the to dark images. Then you
choose the 10 % best and send them for scanning. Then you give the CD to
your client.

No more long hours at the computer converting or editing all your RAW
files, tagging them, filing them, changing hard drives etc. for your
images. Just give the client the prints and the CD. Get paid. End of
story!

Those where the days, ehh?

Regards
Jens

A friend of mine is a wizard at photoshop. She is also an out of work
graphic designer (the office she worked in was closed last month). I've
told her that she should offer her services to pro photographers who would
rather spend their time behind the camera than in front of the computer.

I suspect that there's also a market for amateur photographers, but if she
has to charge $30 an hour to make ends meet, how many people are willing
to pay $20 for a quick first pass sorting shots as to subject and quality,
$5 for a quick dial in and $15 for every shot that gets serious work done
on it?

Realistically, that's $30-80 for every day of shooting. What you ask for
could be done, but are you willing to pay for it?
