This is probably the 5th or 6th wedding I've shot in the past 10 years, all as a wedding guest rather than a paid photographer. My best suggestions would be... 1) Go to the church the week before and observe a wedding in progress. It will give you the basic blocking of the wedding and where you want to be. 2) Pay attention to the guests you know and get good pictures of them interacting. 3) Don't be afraid to direct people into good poses/pictures.
