I was a heavy smoker from a long line of heavy smokers. I smoked for 20 years before (finally? I'll tell you when I'm dead) giving up about 15 years ago. Before that I'd given up several times, included 2 separate periods of a year each. Each time I went back to it was because I thought I could enjoy the pleasure of a cigar in a park on a beautiful spring day, and not get instantly addicted again.
