On 16/2/09, keith_w, discombobulated, unleashed: >Oh! Is that Stephan in the co-pilot seat? Great! >
Stefan. Yah. >Second question, who shut the trip camera off before they were about to >set down? I was filming with a small mini-DV camera. They run a fast turnaround, I was undoing my seatbelts on touching down. Over here, they shut down the rotors before disembarking. There in NY they push you out the door. That's capitalism for you! > >Fun, tho'. I happen to LIKE small planes. I flew in them for many hours, long >before you were even a gleam in your Pop's eye! Oh god, really. I've filmed from them a few times (why always rough weather?) and the up-down thing is stomach churning, not to mention all that pre-flight malarky that takes ages while trundling up and down a taxi-way like the pilot is lost and looking for anywhere that might lead to a runway. Helicopters are neat ;-) And the military is neater - no messing about - in you get, buckle down, let's go. Straight off and no messing about (as you know).
