A friend of a friend of mine had a Blurb book made which was quite
disappointing, I thought (not all because ofBlurb, tho )
But what she told me was you had to pay extra to have all the copies of
your book get printed in the same place...
she had mentioned a difference in quality from one physical book to
another... Forgot the details... but they told her
they wer printing in one place and had then printed in another.

My copy seems fine, looks pretty darn good, in fact. The paper could be a
higher grade, I suppose, but it appears alright -- sort of a non-glossy fine
mat, sort of like a lustre paper. The only problem I can see is that dark
photos, like Ralf's, because the surrounding page is black and the paper is
not
glossy, don't show up that well. The premium paper probably makes a difference
for the dark/nighttime photos.

The brighter photos definitely come across better. But that may be the black
background as much as anything. <shrug> I don't know.

The photos with subtle colors also seem to be fine.
