I am definitely looking at the "lower end" cameras (I'm assuming that's what 
you mean by "bridge"). The upper end cameras are nice but really don't do 
anything for me that the less expensive models don't do too.

The K100d super and the ist series look very appealing to me. The photos they 
make look very nice.

Shake reduction is handy but not a compelling feature for me. I've handheld 
shots up to one second in the past without any problems.

I'm just looking for something I can get into without spending a lot of money 
right now.
