I enjoyed that sound clip - it would be interesting to hear more of them to
accompany your photos. There are few things better than listening to white
hot slags dumping and quenching coke while the rain lashes down on South
Utsira.

I've always enjoyed exhibitions which include appropriate sound. In fact, at
a recent Magnum exhibition about slavery there was a live choir singing
spirituals. I have very poor hearing (as poor as it gets without me actually
being medically deaf) but even though I know I miss a lot of the sound
around me I often wish I could record the sounds of scenes I photograph, it
really adds more than one dimension, I think, and playing back through
headphones might help me hear some of the stuff I missed.
