It's not a *relevant* question.

Preference has nothing to do with it. It's economic forces. You may *prefer* horse-drawn carriages and sailboats.

I beg to differ. Preference *IS* economic force.

Electronic readers may displace books, but they have a long way to go before they do so. They will require many generations of improvement before they offer the utility or the pleasure of the printed page.
