I know that what I'm about to say is trite and meaningless and that
things are not the same as they were and never will be (hell, that's
never stopped me before!), but I wonder how many cameras made today
will still be fully operational in 80 year's time?  Not just fully
operational, but capable of taking images of the highest quality?

Looks like that would be a fun purchase, Bob!
