You're nothing if not predictable.

On this one, in addition to being predictable, JCO is correct.

The enelopes are a marketing scam, they have better

they have a lower short term total capacity than standard

when you buy them if you NEED that, and hold a SMALLER starting charge
long term better than regular nimh, so if you charge but
then dont shoot for a long time after the charge (3-6months)
they will have better overall charge left on them, but do
you NEED that more than you NEED more charge short term
after charging?

You've been drinking or smoking, John. ;-)

Nah, just having fun with a boring question. :)

I have not seen Eneloops for sale in a retail store ever since I once
saw
them (but didn't know about them) at the local Fry's two+ years ago. My

Promaster NIMHs are still in good shape, so I use them most of the time,
but
I've heard so many good things about Eneloops that I'll probably buy a
set
when I do see them.

I'd really like to get Pentax's power pack for the 540FGZ, but as always
the
cost is out of my budget.

(okay, I did have a glass of wine, but that was a while ago)
