Karenina is excellent, and very wittily titled! I love the quality of the black & white, and all that contrast. The dunes picture exemplifies what I said the other day about 'abstract' photographs. I'll bet a lot of people consider it a good example of 'abstract', but I'll bet everyone's first thought was 'what is it?'. But if it had been a painting nobody what have asked themselves that. Karenina is a good example of using the formal compositional properties of the picture to reveal the subject matter. By the way, what is it? Meringue? Snow? Cream? Ointment? I do like the texture and shading.
