Never had the need for that, when using the FA, I'll take your word for it. I 
find using the FA, I spend more time behind the camera and less in front of the 
PC mainly due to less CA in the prime. It's fully usable wide open at f/2, 
reaches outstanding levels by f/4 and very uniform across the frame. The bokeh 
seems very pleasing to my eye, the DA is very good though. I've just got myself 
a DA 70/2.4 Limited and it's become a favourite from the first time I used it, 
wonderful!

I have both as well. Shooting cars in continuous autofocus mode during
the dream cruise, it became obvious that the USM motor in the newer
lens was much more adroit when it came to following the action.
