There was a good bit of info on Rodchenko in "The Genius of Photography" series that BBC4 produced a while back.
Good series, overall, that sort of fell apart toward the end when they started going on about the market for photography. It's worth watching, though, and somebody broke it into ~ten minute sections and uploaded them to youtube.
