Numerous great 645 lenses are already available. A new fast normal
has already been announced. All that will be needed to round out the
lineup is another wide angle or two. What's more, Pentax 6x7 lenses
can be used with an adapter. No shortage of good glass for a 645D.

A digital medium format camera at that price would be a game-

"tectonic" proportions -- there's no way they'd limit it to Japan
only.
There is no idea to sell about 100 cameras all over the North
America
either. Professionals will never buy a camera platform that has no
line of
interchangeable lenses. Amateurs will never buy 10000$ toy. Rich
fans are
too few in number. Life sucks...
But the 645D will have a full line of interchangeable lenses.
When? If we consider design and manufacturing cycle as it have been
last years, 645D body will be outdated long before the magic rain
arrives...
