Very well put, Adam. That is one of the main reasons I chose not to use it. I already have software that deals with organization directly at the OS level rather than this import part. I don't want to bother with the import and all my other packages work just fine with the files in directories as I set them up.
The other reason is general speed - that includes the import steps. Yes, someday I may get a new computer, but this one has done fine so far with everything else I've used it for -which includes programming for a living. This is why I said that if you have no other software (except maybe an editor) that Lightroom might be just the ticket for you, as it has many more features than just Raw conversion. It is more of a system than a Raw convertor. -- Best regards, Bruce Thursday, April 2, 2009, 6:10:48 AM, you wrote: AM> I do get it, you're just not paying attention to what I'm saying.
