Well, it's not perfect. But for the price -- free -- it's really very
good. Eventually I'll probably upgrade to Aperture ... someday.

As far as library size goes. I use multiple iPhoto libraries. Holding
option while clicking the iPhoto icon will allow you to choose among
your libraries or create new ones.

I had been making a new library every year, but now that I'm shooting
RAW format, I'm thinking I might have to make new libraries more often
than that. I use a program called CDFinder to catalog the contents of
those libraries for searching so I can quickly find what I'm looking
for.
