Does anyone on the list have an opinion about the Takumar-A 70-200mm F4
Macro lens?
For a while in the mid 802, Pentax was marketing SMCP-A lenses as the good
stuff, and they had a few lesser lenses carrying the Takumar name.
This is one of those lenses.
I was told by a rep that the Takumar is optically and mechanically identical
to the SMCP-A version of the lens with the exception of multicoating.
The SMCP-A lens is multicoated on every air/glass surface, the Takumar is
multicoated on the front and rear elements only.
