This is one of those rare ones that I can't decide whether I like the color or B&W rendering more, so I toss both up for you and hope to hear comments... http://homepage.mac.com/godders/053-candy.jpg http://homepage.mac.com/godders/053c-candy.jpg "Candy" - San Francisco 2009 Panasonic G1 + Olympus 25mm f/2.8 ISO 100 @ f/5.6 @ 1/640 sec Comments always appreciated. Godfrey ============= I held off commenting on this, because I felt my comment was going to be sort of weird. Then I read part of the thread later and realized, huh, maybe it wouldn't be so weird after all. The B&W far outshines the color, because it has a sinister element. See? But since you've read that comment from others, maybe you get it, maybe not. The bunny rabbit looks like something out of Stephen King's IT in B&W, and the woman in the mirror is harder to see, so the child seems more alone and the woman's motives remain unclear (rather than just mother accompanying child). That is the best I can come up with to explain why I had the sinister reaction. Also look at the bunny's eyes in the B&W and then in color and see if you see what I mean. Nice shot, naturally. Really well composed. HTH, Marnie :-) --------------------------------------------- We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.
