Next camera isn't a successor to the K20D, ie won't be called K30D but rather a side step, a different concept has Pentax officials said in interviews.
However, side step or not, of course it will be more advanced than K20D. But if anybody hopes for Pentax competing with Canikon Pro bodies, forget that idea ASAP. But yes fps will be higher ;) but forget 8fps... Oh and video isn't implemented yet (ouch I let that out... lol). Based on supposedly reliable opinion, it will nice enough to make guys upgrade from K10D if not from K20D.
