Following Jostein's lead, I would also like to add a recommendation
for the K7's grip, although mine might be far more advanced and
technologically challenging than his.

PUT A BLOODY AF BUTTON ON IT!

Ever since I decoupled autofocus from the shutter release I've barely
used the vertical grip on my K10D. Seriously, I'd give up more FPS and
AF speed for that button. Couldn't they just update the frickin
hardware to make the grip buttons mappable to whatever we wanted?

OK, OK, it's too early for this type of rant. I generally wait until
after elevenses to start hating Pentax.
