Hi Frank, thanks for the comments, I think the light plays a part in the image appearing oversharpened, especially on the plumage over the head. It was late afternoon and the light is coming from the back of the bird (r/h side).
I'm happy with the bokeh but on occasions it appears quite harsh in some images. No one else seems to have mentioned this, so maybe I'm particularly sensitive (no jokes please). Perhaps it's due to the severe crop, but I find it very bothersome to look at. On the good side I really like the composition, the colours and that bokeh is just as creamy and smooth as one could ask for. cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
