Well, today I got my answer. It appears that the description of the processby Bong and Jack is correct.
The four images that were held "under review" for three weeks after the others submitted at the same time or later were all rejected today. Oh, well, I guess that just makes the three that I managed to get into the gallery just a bit more special to me.
