there are some rare exceptions, but in general I have found
that most legacy high quality pentax optics work great on digital
as well as film.

I found the same held true with the Pentax FA*24/2 lens.  On film, this
was one of my favorite lenses - great sharpness.  But when I went
digital, this ended up being a lens I sold quickly - just didn't perform
so well.
