Oops.  I have the 484RC2 head (quick release)  I also find this useful since I 
like the flexibility of getting the camera off quickly.

I also have the 3216 but with the 484 miniball head.  The miniball is a bit 
harder to control precisely, but then again monopods are not about speed not 
precision.  Great for wildlife and racing.

Sometimes the fauna doesn't give you any choice. :-)

It's listed on the B&H web site as the 3216 (#679B) for for about US$ 48 
by itself, or about US$ 64 *with* a "#234 Swivel Tilt Head".  My memory 
was that the 3216 was silver and the 3218 was black, but apparently I'm 
mistaken, or they changed it in the last seven or eight years.

There is a spiked foot for it, #236 Surveyors Spiked Foot (for 679, 680, 
and 681 series monopods) for about US$ 15.
