Working with the "exposure on the right" method (to keep noise at its 
lower), I always keep my Pentax DSLR's (first *istD, then K10D, now K20D) 
set at +0.7 EV as default, then changing compensation if/as needed. The +0.7 
EV setting is good for say 80% of the shots.
