If you're shooting RAW & using Photoshop CS2, maybe earlier, the tilt is
easily corrected in the RAW convertor.

Subject: Re: More on K7 electronic "tilt" feature
My K10D has a tilted sensor. I have found two ways around this:
1) I line up the VF with the line I want parallel within the picture,
then I tilt the camera clockwise a smidgen (pardon the technical
jargon).
2) I just say f...@k it and turn the camera in either direction so
nothing is parallel to the sides of the frame.
I find non-level horizons are like Jazz: Two tilted horizons are a
mistake; three are 'style'.

Does anyone remember Rob Studdert's complaint about the 'twisted'
sensor in his K10D. I wonder if the tilt-meter is meant to agree with
the camera body or the sensor. Did the test shots look this tilted in
your viewfinder, Chris?
How hard would it be to have zero calibration available in a service
menu, like focus calibration for lenses?
Sounds like a good idea to me.
A recap on my K10D tilt dilemma, firstly sent the camera off for
service locally, came back with the same tilt but the AF had been
adjusted. Second time it made its way to Japan (apparently, took the
same time as the first service), it came back with the sensor matching
the finder but neither were square in relation to the base of the
camera, very handy. Lastly they replaced it with a unit specially
checked by a Japanese tech (so I was told), this one seemed to work OK
so I sold it pronto.
Now I seem to have a similar problem with my quite young K20D.
Don't say a thing Savage!
Cheers,
