If you have an iPhone or iTouch, there's an App for that. Stick your
finger on the center of the screen, and align it's shadow with the
shaded area on the compass displayed. The compass is pointing north.
Not so good at night or in the fog, or rain, or snow, or overcast days.
But it's free!
