People over estimate the effects of radiation poisoning. He most likely lived to his md. 70's like most other men of his generation. He might have increased his odds of dying of some form of cancer however.

Something about lifespan to ponder.

In the dark ages the average male lifespan was 30 years. Yet, a blacksmith would live on average to be 75. Why?

If he lived to become a blacksmith, he'd survived childhood.

Well, apparently I have nothing
better to do today, than argue the finer points of Tort law
with William Robb, (a singularly pointless exercise since
neither of us are lawyers), and find somewhat interesting
items on the Internet. So I hope someone finds this
interesting.

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with
either eating or drinking; he can ruin himself with
gambling. If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he
might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is
not a free man any more than a dog.
