I'm glad I shot it with the *ist-D The fill light control in Raw Shooter Essentials works miracles.

It's hot and sticky, hottest week of the year, so here's a winter scene.
This is the interior detail of the so called Viking Tower in Newport RI

Everyone ignored the last shot of the "proof" that Leif Erikson somehow got to Southern NE so I guess I'll annoy you guys some more.

Equipment Pentax *ist-D w/smc Pentax FA 28-70mm f4.0.

As usual comments are welcome but may be totally ignored.

It's more likely "proof" that Benedict Arnold's grandfather built a windmill on his property.

I've always found it difficult to get a good documentary shot showing interior detail when it's looking up; hard to get a perspective. Including the background through the open arches helps.

Did it require much in the way of post processing? Looks like it would have been a bear to get an adequate exposure inside without blowing the background.

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or
drinking; he can ruin himself with gambling. If he does he is certainly a damn
fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a
free man any more than a dog.
