You would probably love one of those non reflex micro 4/3
type cameras, they don't black out much if at all from
what I read, no mirror.

I've always stressed that that was one of the things I like most about
my PZ-1p (or the trusty old MX with the motor drive fitted) - even
though I hardly ever shot in continuous frame mode the camera was ready
to take the next shot almost as fast as I could press the shutter
release, which comes in handy when you are shooting fast-action sports.

Just machine-gunning at 5fps won't necessarily get you the critical
moment, but it's nice to be able to choose to push the shutter again 200
(or 263, or 317, or ...) milliseconds after your first attempt, and to
be able to follow the action in the viewfinder with only a very short
blackout period.
