Less than 1/10th the size of a native WAV file and most versions of the MS Windows Media Player can handle it. Consider WAV vs mp3 as BMP/Uncompressed TIFF vs JPG and like jpg mp3 is more universal now than WAV files. I have the gear set up, Neumann U87 mic and Tascam DA-P1 DAT in a nice quiet room, will process it all in the digital domain, you'd be surprised just how much can be learned from a high quality recording. Analogous to good film, good lens, good camera, good light, good exposure, good processing, you know the rest (output quality is up to you though :-) Cheers, Cheers, Rob Studdert HURSTVILLE AUSTRALIA Tel +61-2-9554-4110 UTC(GMT) +10 Hours [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://members.ozemail.com.au/~distudio/publications.html - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
