Camera History states:
Another scheme pattened by Minolta but brought to fruition by Olympus in the
OM series was OTF (off the film metering). This had a patterned focal plane
shutter which was in front of the film to modify sensitivy such as
overbright sky, but metering continues as film is exposed so it is exact and
also allows flash to be measured during exposure.
